Plotline: Set during the time of the first outbreak of bubonic plague in England, a young monk is tasked with learning the truth about reports of people being brought back to life in a small village.
Scariness Factor: This movie is not really scary; it’s tense, gloomy, and dreadful. The torture and fight scenes are brutal & realistic and hard to watch.
Gross out factor: On a scale of 1 to 5: 0
Complaints: N/A
High Points: Black Death gets darker and darker the further along the movie goes. This movie is beautifully unsettling, I loved the small cast and all the characters and I am going to watch it again =D

I totally agree with you on this one. Good pick not to scary but suspensful and when compared with Season of the Witch with Nick Cage and came out around the same time this movie was done way better. I love the way the monk ends up well written!!!!
